Default clutch and transmission

hey you know how you're supposed to change the water pump when you change the timing belt right? well i'm thinking about getting a different transmission and my friend suggested i might as well get a new clutch? is this worth doing at the same time?

If your dropping the tranny away, you might as well change the clutch. That's assuming the old one's had a few miles on it (if it's relatively new, say <20k miles, it's probably okay). If you change the ctutch, don't forget you need to get the flywheel resurfaced to get the most performance and life out of the new clutch.
