Default Scrapage

Yea I was in the area of buying a mugen style front lip and had a question.....I already scrap in some areas and almost in others as it is now....if I get a front lip, how much trouble am I going to run into scrapage wise? If I have to I will get a body kit front bumper (something not too showy) because i'm going for the not-so-stock look. I'd rather have a mugen style front lip but if it's going to cause me to scrap alot and end up tearing the lip up itself, might as well get the bumper instead know what I mean? Suggestions?

a lip is probably going to add another 2-3 inches. So if you already scrape alot now, then you shoudn't get a lip it just be worst. And most kits will make your car lower also.

Get an abs plastic lip and just be a little more careful on how you approach ramps/bumps.
The bottom is what will get the most damage, but you wont see it anyways.

I scrape the shit out of my lip all the time..but as was mentioned above, it really only knicks up the bottom and you cant see it unless you are under the car...I would rec. the lip over the new bumper, lips costs a lot less to replace if you **** it up than a whole new bumper WHEN you **** that up

I have a "type-r" lip and I haven't really scraped it that bad but I did notice that it sits a little higher than most lips out there (like the WingsWest RS lip). It's probably only about 1/4" lower than the stock lip that comes with 5th gen civics.

You'll scrap for sure. I had Mugen style lip and it scraped a lot.
Also imo, avoid ABS plastic. It's weak and can't hold up to shit.

I cracked mine going through a drive thru car wash. Then mix some black ice and a curb and you get a lip that cracks into 3 pieces.
