basically the dump tube is like that for max power, and the smaller pipe is going to his stock exhaust so, when he isnt running the car hard, he can still retain the stock sound to his car. quite an ingenious setup, actually. now that you guys pointed this out, it made me want one. ive always been a fan of cheezefrogs ek. the vid where he races a 10sec viper is the sickest. gotta love those srr control arms!! :yumyum:

i know the point of a dump tube and the regular exhaust.... i was asking how the elextronic cut-out worked... ie switch, pedal controlled, throttle sensor

With a turbo, you want as little back pressure as possible so that the turbo can spool quickly, without resistance. That dump tube just opens up and becomes the exhaust pipe when he's racing so that he has zero back pressure.

When he's driving it on the street, he has it closed and retains the stock sound and look. That's sleeper baby!

:edit:

Oh, I see what you're asking. I think it works off of a knob style switch so you can adjust how much you want the dump open. I don't have a link to a site, but here's 3 vids (8MB total): http://josh.actworld.net/cutout.zip

his setup does allow him to run an open downpipe with a flick of a switch. which sounds like err...well.....i think it was louder than the viper...lol its crazy how quiet that car is before he switches to an open downpipe....

though i wish someone knew how much total he spent on this car...its fast....its not just fast...its stupid fast lol
