actually yours has 106 hp. you are probably looking at a quarter mile time of 17.5-18.0. My Dx ran a 17.6
Your engine is an economy engine and not worth the money to mod it. do not waste money on an AEM CAI. save your first couple grand an buy a motor swap. you can read all about them by searching through this site. before you buy anything I would read and study for a month or so and then decide what you want.

Look man, I don't know if you're being serious or not... but if you are, I think bambrose offered the best advice. Obviously you still have plenty to learn about your car... just sit back and absorb info for a while before you start spending money on stuff you don't really need. Use the "search" function and do some research on engine swaps and turbo. Your goal of "beating V8s" is a pretty vague one, perhaps you should think of a specific power goal or quarter mile time you have in mind, and go from there. You've got a lot to learn :happysad:

Secondly, you are beyond mistaken thinking that you will even come near beating even slow ass Mustang V6s with some I/H/E on a 106 whp DX motor.
