did u bother bleeding your coolant?
air in the coolant lines can trigger CEL 14

as far as i know, civics do not have a coolant bleeder...
however they do have a drain plug as the bottom of the radiator...
unscrew that, drain the fluid, clean the lines out with a garden hose, and then refill
to properly "bleed" the system,
leave the radiator cap off and let the car run for about 15 minutes (until the fans kick in) and also have your heat settings on HOT

I have the same motor and I just leave the cap off while it's running. I squeeze the upper and lower radiator hoses while it's running too, just to see if I can work any bubbles out.

The 'E' would stand for electronic, as in "Electronic Air Control Valve. I think. Anyway, that's what is listed in the Helms for a code 14.

If you end up needing a new sensor, just refer to that diagram Josh posted. Anyone working the parts desk at the Honda store will know what part by looking at those. It's like ordering fast food... "I'll take the number nine please." They give you a total, and a day or two later, it appears. I really wish they made that parts identifier software publicly available somehow.
