the t03 is perfect for a D. It'll spool pretty fast, and give some good numbers. Check out www.homemadeturbo.com
A lot of guys on there run similar turbos, and I think they make an adaptor plate, so you could use an Hf manifold, and bolt this turbo right up to it.

I'm running a t3 from a merkur, if it makes you feel better. Anything is possible with a little time, some scrap metal, and some tools.

 

I can tell you that's not a stock second gen turbo, those are a Hitachi HT18(-2S.) Similar to a T03, but definately not the same.

Was it one of the stock twins from a third gen? I don't think either of those where a T03 either.
