how much does a dist cap normally goes for on autozone or pepboys? haven't bought one in years, they come with rotor too? can I purchase seperate?

anyone see any problems with buying this clear one on ebay?

I don't see anything wrong with that one. I just did a tune up on my car and bought a distrib. cap for $13, rotor button for $7, and ngk blue ignition wires for $50. To answer your question, no it does not come with a rotor button. HIH :thumbup:

 

anyone know how to tell if a distributor caps gone bad???

 

look inside at the terminals, check for wear. also look for tiny cracks. there should also not be any oil in there.

 

I personally would only put an OEM cap and rotor on.
