To be honest, your milage doesn't sound too bad especially if you still have a couple of gallons left in a tank and it is mostly in town. That's about what my D16z6 gets if I do almost all in town. Have you figured out what the miles per gallon is? The best I have got was about 405 miles on a tank that was all highway (I was taking it easy to try to get the best mileage I could), but I usually have to fill up every 260 miles or so if I do mostly all in town with some highway.

From what I heard the pcv valve is only a couple of dollars from an auto parts store. It is also easiest to change it at the same time you change your oil (from what I have heard). Never actually have done it myself.

For the injectors, just get some of the stuff you put in the gas tank to start off with.

i just bought a PCV for my B18A1 & it was only like 3 bucks..

it's probly different on your engine but mines located on a line that goes through the intake manifold tubes.. between cylinders 3 & 4.

hope that helps

what do you normally get? I think it would help to know the exact difference. I usually get ~230-270 and I drive a vx, which is supposed to be the most fuel efficient civic. :dunno:

My y7 gets 300-330 per tank half freeway half city. my mpg is usually 35-42. I drive pretty easy on the engine though. I think the pcv valve is a good idea. Also a valve adjustment might be in order. I think you should switch your plugs for ngk's as well.

maybe those things would help out

I guess I will look into the valve adjustment and pcv valve replacement. Would like to know exactly where it is on my d16z6 though.

That's about what my brand new 15,000 mile old DX motor gets. 250 per tank in the city. 420 is my record on the highway, non-stop for 8 hours on I-85 to I-95. I was sweating bullets trying to find a gas station at 2AM on a Sunday in BFE, too. 44mpg. That's with a CX gearbox, though.

It's about time for a valve adjustment. If you read your service manual, it states to do it every 15,000 miles. Maybe it's excessive to someone that has to pay for that service, but it's not so bad for a DIY'er. If you've had that intake for a year, it's probably well past time for you to buy a filter cleaning kit and take care of bidnexzz.

Should I clean the filter or just replace it? I've seen a DIY for adjusting my vavles before but don't know where it's ran off to. Jafro u seem like a highly intelligent person, think you could write me up a detailed DIY for doing it? Would be highly appreciated!
