Default Gas Mileage

Gas Mileage...........ok this is starting to drive me nuts. Josh set my timing for me and I just did a full tune up. (distrib. cap, rotor, ngk blue wires, bosch plat. plugs) I only got like 240 miles on a full tank of gas. What could be causing me to get this bad of gas mileage?

Heavy rims might have SOMETHING to do with it but it wouldn't hurt it that much and I purposely didn't stomp on it anywhere with that tank to test it out. What else could be causing this? What am I suppose to be getting the tank?

Some things that could be causing it:

PCV valve - replace. it is cheap
clogged injectors - clean
fuel filter - replace if it is time

I usually get between 230-300 miles per tank. Like others mentioned this is dependent on in-town driving or highway driving. Bad air filter could cause it as well.
You could try resetting the ecu as well. :dunno:

I got an AEM CAI which I've had since like last June. I've reset the ecu quite a few times. This is really getting on my nerves.
