Default ok...new scenario...

my buddy is prob. goin LS/VTEC and if he does he said I can have his GSR block for next to nada.....so I am at a dilema...I dunno if I want to bore it out to 84mm slap on my b16a head, and get some 84mm pistons and rods.....

I dunno if I want to build it to an NA 12.*:1

or if I should while I have this extra block send it out to Dart or AEBS
and go turbo...

the only reason I like the NA setup is it is practically free to do it other than the machine work, I would def. pick up a Hondata to tune the high comp.

but at the same token boooost sounds so nice...but very esspensive

Well I think it is pointless to ask peoples opinion. This really is a dilemma of pure personal preference. You're asking people basically what they would do in your shoes, and theres no grounds for that. You have to think what you want. I personally feel both can be fun as hell to drive. So there :ha:

What kind of money do you want to throw at your car? That's all you have to ask yourself...

yeah thats the thing....It is either sink my money into a full blown turbo setup, or sink a lil money into the NA setup, and still have some money left....uggg I hate these decisions...givin the new light I will prob. go NA and buy another car so I can have a winter beater.

If I was in your shoes I would go NA. turbo is awesome but a fast NA car gets more credit in my books than a turbo that is one sec quicker. Not to mention if you have hondata, the na setup is gonna be extremely reliable. going with the 84mm bore you will have insane around town low end power as well.

Like some of the guys have said, its really your choice... But I'll through in my $0.02 into the pot.

If you are after power, get turbo because at the end it will be cheaper to get more power. But if you want lots of respect from guys who are into "NA", then go with NA--You'll end up spending alot more on the NA setup if you are trying to get the same amount of power. NA sounds easy but trying to squeeze a couple more hp out of a motor that is almost at its peak potential in terms of NA is quite costly in terms of parts and tuning. I'm not saying that turbo parts and tuning a turbo setup isn't expensive. Overall, it will be cheaper to turbo than going NA

Either way, best of luck.

ok here is the plan...GSR block bored to 84mm, oversized pistons, Hondata, Toda spec B's, B16a head, 12ish to one compression, 8lb flywheel and dunno which clutch, and bigger injectors......that should be able to run on 93 octane correct?
