I recall seeing a comparison of oil filters on bobistheoilguy.com. Yep the orange fram ones are bad. The other fram ones (higher mileage etc.) aren't too bad though.

After working in parts for awhile and delivering filters to one of my favorite customers while I still worked for Fisher Auto Parts. The shop owner cut open a Fram, a Puralator, a Hastings and a Fisher branded filter... Looking at there guts, I'll be sticking to the Hasting filters for a good while to come untill I see something better

I have always gone with fram in my '67 Camaro. Since I've ever installed one. I will never used fram again. I can't even capitalize it after reading that.

i was working a promotions deal for Bud once at gateway international and was walking around. got into a conversation with a Fram team mechanic who told me that none of FRAM's mechanics would let a fram filter within 10 feet of their own car.

needless to say, i stay away from them now also
