Default Questions-95 Honda Civic LX - Backrest Adjustment

Hi.
Is there a way to adjust the backrest incline? It appears that the passenger side is at a different angle than drivers side.
Also, on using this forum......... is there an easy way to find my old treads I put in around 2-3 months ago? Is there an archive, or is everything lost after a couple of months?
Thx,
Bob

assuming that your car is similar to mine, the way i adjust my backrest incline is to pull up on the lever which is on the side of the seat, on the window side, respectively on either side of the seats. and then you push back on the backrest or kinda let go and it flips forward is that what you were looking for?

Go to user cp, Then go to View all subscribed threads. That should bring it all up from day one. If nothing was lost on the update.

Guess I need to explain better. When I pull the lever up and backrest goes all the way forward, then I pull the backrest back to the first click position (normal driving spot), the incline angle there is too much past 90 degrees, which is about where I want it. As I said, doing the same thing to passenger side makes it stop at about 95 degrees, while I would say drivers side is at about 100 degrees.

When you get to your first click just jump in the back seat and push the seat foward with your legs. That should fix it right up!

Are you serious honura? You do know I am talking about the backrest, not the seat, correct? And you are saying that this will bend something so seat is more upright? But, no real danger of breaking something?

So............... is it possible that I could fix this backrest incline angle problem by pushing on the back and 'bending' it to the angle that I want???????? Or, will this possibly break something?
Thx.

Yes Don't start kicking the shit out of it. But if you do bend it foward yes it will fix the possition. your probably a fat man like me and just bent the seat back with time. Just push on it and be a bit easy and you'll be good.

Mighty presumptous of you to call me a FAT man! I am a little on the chunky side, but I would not call me a FAT man! But thanks for the info....... I will try it.
Note that I just got the car in December, so my fatness did not cause it.
Thx.
