Default Undercoating for the interior?

To dampen road noise some people spray undercoating in the interior. If you have done it, how does it smell afterwards?

You can use Dynamat, or any of the cheaper alternatives of Dynamat, and pad the interior and it reduces road noise quite a bit.

I plan on using rubberized aerosol spray and I am concerned about the smell. Some people say your interior will stink for weeks.

While spraying it, it's enough to get you high as hell for a few hours. After a few days withteh windows open a lot, it should be gone. But believe me, it's not going to do jack compared to dynamat. Been there, done that. Ask spood. We did it in his hatch...

I heard dynamat is better but not really worth the high price and it's heavier.

I am just going to spray the underside of the door, rear seat and trunk panels.

Right...the smell didn't linger too long, and the worst went away pretty quick. BUT, it's not really worth the trouble. We also used Peel and Seal...kinda like poor man's Dynamat. Also didn't do a whole lot. :dunno:

ok...I am undecided on what to use. seems like it would be a better idea to pad under the hood and firewall because most of the noise is up front.
