Default Crappy radio reception and loose center mirror

My friends 98 Ex has such crappy radio reception. The radio she's using is the old one from my bimmer but I never had any radio reception issues. Does anyone else have this problem? Doesn't really matter if the antenna is all the way extended as the reception doesn't get that much better.

On another note, her center rear view mirror sucks. It's actually kinda funny cuz when the 2 12's she's got in the trunk hit hard, you can actually watch it slant downwards lol. I tried to adjust it tighter but when I pulled the cover off the back of the mirror, all I saw was a ball, how am I suppose to tighten that? TIA

I have that exact same problem with my mirror. I literally see it start to angle down as well. I didn't see any way to tighten it or anything. I was kinda thinking of taking something sticky like sugar or something and maybe making it sticky and position it to where I see out the back fine and hope it sticks . I don't know. Hopefully someone has some good ideas!

there really isnt anything you can do to get your mirror to stop tilting, cept maybe turn the stereo down. You could snag a replacement from a junkyard and see if its any stiffer.

As for the radio, make sure they even plugged the antenna in. Those things are pretty notorious for popping out. From there if you still have troubles I would say you probably need to replace it altogether.
