You can do alot with 2 grand.

Throw in a set of cams and some other goodies.

Or you could go suspension. With that kind of money you could have a Full Tein Setup.

Spend like $900 on SS Coilover Set
Another $350 if you want the EDFC for it
Skunk2 Upper Control Arms for Camber $250
Camber Kit for the Rear you could just washer out. Or even spend the money on the real deal.

Without the EDFC you'd still have $ to spare. Of course you don't have to go full Tein either.

$2000 isnt a bad lot to play with.

Well...i didn't get the EM1....the loan fell through and wasn't able to finance since i had no credit....so i had to get a $1200 loan and use that to repair the EJ1. Lookjs like i am stuck with it for a couple of more months, but i am goin to go ahead and put on a cf hodd and new bumper then sell it. Who knows maby i will have a change of heart and keep it.

Why put more money into the apperance of the car, when you are going to turn around and sell it? That is pretty much throwing money away since you won't get what you paid for those parts.

Grats on the car man.I love the si's.However i feel they are very overated.I have a dc header,dc gsr exhaust, carsound,sr intake on my ls teg and beat my friends bolt-on si bye about 2 car till 70 then 1 car bye 100.However i still spent 4k on the car which is mint and he payed 14k.But i still think si's are a nice car.I will still always want one.Something about having the lengendary b16 motor.Even though there torqueless....but gearing helps torque. The si tranny is pretty sick.I want one on my teg, think would haul ass.

It's funny when I hear ppl comparing the GSR to a 99-00 si and they say the b16a is has no torque but then act like the b18c does. Sure it has a little more, but honestly Honda's never had torque to begin with hence the forced induction/NOS craze. When somebody on here talks about how much better the b18c is over a b16a it makes me think they are just repeating what somebody else said on some other forum.

not a big difference, but i drove a b16a powered hatch and a b18c1 powered hatch one after the other. the difference can be felt, not night and day, but the 10 lbs of torque is there.

it may be little torque, but it's across the rev range.
