still confused as why you would take a perfrectly good type r motor and turbo it??? and put gs-r cams on it to boot...shoulda just gotten a gsr motor in the first place and replace the intake manifold...besides the high compression on the type r motor is not so good for boost...unless youre gonna have a really good fuel management system

its not that terrible, guys. He's building the motor, so the compression doesn't matter, it will be lowered. The ITR head has better flow characteristics than the gsr one, not to mention the IM. I certainly wouldn't waste my money on the b18c5 as a turbo motor, but just because its a "type R" motor doesn't mean its stupid to boost it... Just means you have to take a few precautions first (and spend an extra G or two h: )

why is everyone complaining...
if he is trying to build a car for 1 bar like he says he will most likely get some low compression pistons and a thicker headgasket...
