Default ***Immediate Attention Please: oil pan on a b16a, dented, oil pickup?

Alright incublinkus' oil pan on the new b16a just got dented pretty bad. Don't ask how please. We're just worried about the oil pickup, where is it? And is a dented oil pan something that needs to be fixed ASAP, soon, don't drive it!!, or future repair nothing too serious?

Please immediate attention to this would be greatly appreciated. As well as any other relavant info.

The pickup is right in the center of the pan. It sits just above where the shallow part of the pan becomes the deep part of the pan (I think).

Remember, speed bumps aren't meant to be jumped. :db:

everything is cool, the pan is DENTED on the drivers side on the leading edge. The car is fine and drove completely normal.

on a lighter note, honda_pilot should write a book or something called "When Civic's Fly"

you'll know there's a problem as soon as something seizes

Please, don't remind me. But its a good title Jon, we can market the book to riceboys who would be interested in making their Civics "original" just like those APC tails, and those Super Street vinyls.

Oh man, well I'm so glad its running fine, hopefully everything stays running fine and we can laugh about it in the future. Cause you know we'll always remember last night.

I would consider replacing it, who knows, you might run into oil starvation issues under hard cornering...

I think it's worth the piece of mind. Shit, sounds like a great time to upgrade to a moroso...

Also, this should probably be in engine/tech.
