Default accident ? about seatbelts

recently i was in a accident in my 98 civic lx and i wanted to know if any of you have been in a bad crash in your civic and felt that the seatbelts did not do a very good job of holding you in your seat i feel that it did not because my head came up and hit the roof right around the rear view mirror causeing me to black out thanks

It was the bag(big pillow with a oder you wont forget),, pretty horrible.. the seat belt held me back from boucing my head off the steering wheel, but i guess i was sitting somewhat too close, the bag came out gave me a sucker punch to the stomac and broke my cell phone that was on my belt hostler on my belt.. Not to mention the crash was basicly over maybe 3 secs earilier,, the time delay was the killer.

O sry i was eatting so u kno how that goes

Well, when I totalled my '92 Integra at about 25-30mph, the belts held me back. If you're belts let you hit the windshield, that's a BIG problem. If you're hitting the roof, you must be pretty damn tall.

John666: reasons like that are exactly why I refuse to buy any car with an airbag. I don't trust those things.

maybe you didn't have the 1st point properly adjusted? :dunno:

you know, where the seatbelt comes off the wall, and you can raise or lower the point it comes from.....

this thread kinda scares me, tho :ugh:
