TPS sensor question

can any damage occur from running your car with the tps unplugged? I got my new IACV and the car was still a lil rolly..so I unplug the TPS and the car runs like it is brand new...I dont get it? can anythin bad happen?

Without the TPS, the car will probably go into an ~100% throttle limp mode, as in the car will run super rich.
