So i take it nobody has changed from the reg AEM CAI to the V2. I didnt see how noise vibration or whatever it says on the ad gives you so much more power. I heard the bends were better on the V2, but i guess not enough to justify the cost of it. So it looks like im goin to get the reg AEM CAI.

On Modacar they have the reg CAI for $180 and the V2 for $250. Just want to put that out there so nobody else spends $500 on it. Damn thats alot of money!

You have GOT to be goddamn kidding me. It's just a pretty aluminum straw for the engine, not really worth more then $50.

Well, actually, I'd pay $500 for it if it came with a free T04 turbo and manifold for my car. :chuckles:

You got RIPPED OFF!

Have you ever owned a V1 to compare the V2 to? Cause the V1 makes the same sound. h:
i bought the AEM v2 CAI when it first came out, and yes i paid around $500. you guys should have seen the look on my mom's face when she found out i shelled out around $500 for the CAI. she was so pissed and forbids me to waste anymore money on my car, but i simply can't resist and i'm still buying parts for my car to this day. so far, the most expensive aftermarket part i've bought so far, would be a Greddy Turbo Kit (at around $2400.00). It doesn't even come with a BOV or an intercooler, so i might have to waste an additional $1500-$2000 for those.

anyways, i have complete specs of parts (it's not completely updated yet) i've purchased so far on my sounddomain page.

I really do have an AEM v2 CAI on my car, and like i said, i've been using it for at least almost a year now. I didn't plan on going turbo and wasn't serious on modding my car.

I bought the car in late January of 2003, bought rims, then the AEM v2 CAI, then the custom exhaust. Now i've decided to go turbo, so i'm going turbo. Everyone who does any mods to their cars, usually do the popular CAI, HEADER, EXHAUST before anything else.

i think i still have the original reciept(somewhere) and yes, i still have the original box and packagings, and if you still call BS, you are more than welcome to come over and take a look at my car for yourself, so basically i was using the CAI for almost a year until i decided/have enough money to go turbo.

if, after you read this and still think it's all crap, then just believe what you will, because for one thing, i didn't type all this for my pleasure.

then why did you put Hondata and Vafc in your list of goodies to buy?

I dunno the list looks like you read a few "tuner" mags and made a cool sounding list.....
not to judge...but I will slap up a :wopics:

I have a generic short ram i put a Honda H sticker on it; does the job nice for 55 dollas.with a cai, the bypass that you should get, dosnt that take away alittle power so you would be with about the same as a short ram??instead of 3hp you get like 2 donkeypower. I think short ram is a lot easier to install safer cheaper looks cool.

I really don't see why you feel the need to prove how much money you've spent. Will it make you cooler here? No...

We all spend money on our cars - some more than others, but trying to show off by saying that you've spent a butt load on something really irresponsibly is kinda lame imho.

As for the turbo, you got ripped off there too. You should start buying things from me... I'd make a killing off of you! :chuckles:

As for the topic, V2 = :ghey:

the only thing i don't like about the v2 CAI is that it's very pricey at around $500 (that's what i paid for mine at the time. not sure how much it is now). it's just too bad, because i'm going turbo in a few months, so the money i spent on it was kinda of a waste, but i'd definately go with the v2 CAI if given a choice.

wtf?? you got owned.
