for turbo the ls is a better idea.. its a little bit cheaper than the b16.. has a lower c.r. to help keeping engine management easier, and the rods are more stable I have heard.

I have also seen some really good numbers out of ls turbos with stock internals.

ls is non vtec, but you can put a b18c1 , b18c5, or b16a2 on there.

No SOHC head on a DOHC

i got a 91 hb si with a b16a "sir" swap. i love this car when its working flawless but its just little shit breaking cuz i drive the piss outa this car.its going in the shop tomarrow auctually. you will like it even with out a turbo if your going from a sohc non vtec to a b series .....

i was looking to get the b16a sir2. but telling me about the b18b and boosting it ill do more research. yea im just looking to upgrade from a sohc to a dohc

ya I would recommend the ls swap if you are going turbo.. its just more stable and has less problems.. expecially if this is your first turbo.. you don't wanna have high compression on your first turbo experience.. you might mess up something little and boom
