Default oil in cylinder

i keep getting a lot of oil in just one cylinder is it just the head gasket or is it something else

If it's just oil then it's not your head gasket. It's either your valve seals or piston rings in that cylinder. :happysad:

sounds like your rings are going man...get a compression test and keep a close eye on your oil level. a guy on H-T just posted a similar problem and he as he pulled his plug in a his oil pan, about 1/2 a quart came out!!!

if it was your head gasket, your have coolant leaking into your cylinder...

EDIT: as westy said, valve seals also...

yea i was kinda thinking my rings are going bad my oil has been running low

oil seals, piston rings, valve seals, headgasket, could be about 10 million things.
