Which is better?
Which is better? 1997 Honda Del Sol or 1997 Honda Civic(2 door)
I'm thinking of buying a del sol because it is small(less money to customize interior), no one really in Pennsylvania has one, and i think they are good cars with the right preformance mods done to them.

Sols are awesome (I'm still building my first, and the second became a parts car). I love my hatch because of the aftermarket support, and it's lighter than the sol (mine is a 95 hatch, the 97 coupe is about the same weight). The sol chassis is a little less rigid than the civic, but it's not a real noticable difference once you get ome suspension mods done to it. I'd do a sol again in a heartbeat, but I'm hooked on em. If you get one, be prepaired to fall in love with it and never want to let it go.
When searching to buy a civic a handful of years ago, I looked at the del sol - I love it, however realistically I was thinking about the drives Id be making between home and school - 500 miles away. I went with the coupe for practical reasons - I can hual stuff, and people if I need to. With the delsol you'd be SOL if you needed to carry a friend, or haul anything at all.
If you have another vehical at your disposal, get the delsol, if your civic will be your only car, then get the coupe.
other than that, they should be as reliable and tunable as each other.
