dumb question #2,345 from me..
My 94 civic, has 4 speeds (1, 2, D3, D4). Would someone please tell me what i should be driving on in the freeway and on the normal roads? I was driving on d4 24/7 but a friend told me i should be on D3 and D4 on the freeway. Hes a bit weird, so i just wanted to double check here please...
Exactly. A good question for some that may have had the same query, but didn't have the balls to ask. :goodjob:
Just as Kai said, most will never use anything but D4. Some people will use the others when racing to get that 'manual' feel, but normal driving is best done in D4.

Of course your friend with a manual will beat you every time as long as he shifts right and his car doesn't blow up.
when driving around regularly you want to have it in D4, when going up hills and whne u want a couple hundred more RPM drop it down in D3. im sure everyone has put in thier to bits but i figured i would say something as well since i have a 93 civic and it has the same thing
Follow what the rest of the guys said...
But one word of advice though, it might not be so wise drag racing with an automatic honda tranny just because they'll breakdown on you--although you might beat your friend because its an automatic and it will shift for you!
