h: went over 100k on the D16Y8 yesterday coming back from Atlantic city. Just thought I would share that with all of you. Maybe she'll blow and I can do the swap or get another car?!?!
Anyone know how many more miles I should get out of the old D16?
my y8's got 142,000 and going like the first day I got it at 94,000... have not had to replace a single part other than the water pump (previous owner never replaced it :squint: ).
I turned 150K miles on my 94 civic sedan last Wednesday on the way home from having a root canal done.
I've only owned my civic about 3 months and drive it 350 miles to work and back each week. What I love most is the 38 miles per gallon that I'm getting compared to the 14 per gallon in my Dodge Ram 4X4.
my coupe has 162K, around 35k on the motor im putting in, the first motor lasted 143K before throwing a rod bearing, but I suck at not running engines into the ground.
