I just used a spring compressor on mine when I did it. Make sure you get the ones with smaller jaws on them though, otherwise they may not quite fit right in the spring. Another word of advice, wear some gloves when you do it. If the spring lets go while you are working on it, it hurts like hell without gloves. I know this from experience. Mechanix gloves own me now...
Autozone is a bunch of retards that don't know shit . B4 you do anything you do not understand post or PM someone you cool with here and save yourself a bunch of money . Most people will try to clown you out of cash and make you feel like an ass . Goodluck .
oh really, i figured that they didnt know what they were talkin about, well it was either a coil spring compressor, or a strut springs compressor, i just got the coil spring compressor, was that the right one?

If your working with Stock springs I would love to see how you have put them back on without a spring compressor, I have taken them off without but only when I was putting threaded bodies or lowering springs on, which meant I did not have to compress the spring at all to get the top hap to screew onto the tread.
The tool you needed is the strut spring comporessor, even though we have shocks that strut spring compressor is designed to work with cars with coil over springs.
