Default I think i F*cked up Tranny

Last night some friends wanted me to race a 94 Civic DX coupe. I accepted cause i knew i would lay the smack down on it. But in the process of driving we came to a light before getting to the destination where we would race. At the light i figure i would pass him on the green. Usually i launch at 4500rpms,but instead i launched at 4k. When i did the car rolled about 1ft, when i threw it in second the rpms rose like i was driving but the car was giong no where same in third then it puttered and rolled into the gas station that was right there. I burnt the living hell out of my clutch. I know it couldn't handle because the clutch was rebuilt(stock). I never had the happen ever. What did i do exactly? The car is running fine but not as good as before. Off the line it would barley roll but when i hit 2nd i pulled 2 car lengths on the DX. But it still isn't pulling like it was before. h:

Well if you are still able to engage the clutch then you didn't shadder it. but it may have been slipping really bad when you went to engauge it & got extremly hot & it's possible that part of it could have broken... ?? whats the status of the car now & hows it acting?

that sucks, welcome to my world. I killed 4 trannys in my 00 ex before i totalled her...well 2 of them were my friends driving and one was a bad internal part on a used tranny. Good thing you can get them for 100 bucks all day long. I was talking to my uncle and he mentioned his M3 was 1200 dollars to get a new tranny UNDER extended warranty.

Was you clutch slipping before you did this? It seems that even there would be signs that your clutch was going to give out...
