Default Ask simple and basic questions part IV

Just as the title says, ask simple and basic questions in here.

We'll stick it and once it gets too big, we'll start up another one.

I'll start it off again I suppose.. .hmmmmmm

How big is a gas tank on a 92 dx hatch?

Gah!

I've always wondered that. Is it the same for the coupe/hatch/sedans?

Alright, lets see.

I don't have an owner's manual for my car and did a google search and searched this site, so anyways, when does the maintainance required indicator change color for a 6th gen civic?

What wires does the alternator current flow through to get to the battery and back again? I'm pretty sure two of them are the block---> chassis and chassis---> battery, but what are the others?

Does upgrading ground wire gauge improve anything, or is it just making sure the connections are solid that helps?

Does a b18c throttle body swap with a d16y8? How about the intake manifolds?

what do the oil numbers mean? for example, the oil i use for my car is 5w 30, but in the new civics it has to be 5w-20. I think the first number is viscosity - like 5w thickens at a lower temp than 10w and covers a broader range of temps....but i'm not sure. Thanks

The number is viscosity.... 5w is the weight during Winter..lol hence the W or during cold weather... the weight is light so that oil can easily flow thru when it's cold...start up has alot of wear and tear since engine components don't have oil in them during the first few seconds of engine start. The second number is it's normal weight after it heats up...it's thick to withstand heat and do what it needs to do ( clean and cool ...etc )

Not sure about this one...I guess either Honda Tranny Fluid or Drex III.
Depending on wether it's auto or stick, i think one has a filter ( auto ), one doesn't ( manual )...

Auto's should have a drain plug on the side facing passanger side fender, and just fill at where the dipstick is. As for a full tranny flush... I don't know.

B series to B series , D series to D series... I don't think it's a good idea to mix and match B and D series items. It might be possible, but I think more difficult than it has to be?
