Ground Control vs. Skunk2
I am looking into getting coilovers because well....I'm picky...the sportlines just aren't the drop I was hoping for...and I wanna fix the difference in wheel gap with my rear tires that lots of ppl have been talking about lately.
So I have narrowed it down to either Ground Control coilovers or Skunk2 coilovers...
I was jw which is the best value. I beleive they both have a 1-3" range. But I was wondering which had the best reliablity, quality, and ride comfort....oh and best price:thumbup:. Any comments will help. I'm so fickle I can't decide myself.
O yea, a link to a cheap set of either one would be nice too....

I currently run Skunk2. I'm super happy with them. I know you can get custom spring rates with GC.

I guess if you know what kind of spring rate to get for you type of driving, then go for the GC's. If it doesn't really matter for you, then I'd get whichever is more affordable for you. Can't go wrong with either one. I have the Skunks myself.
I have Skunks also, I love them. The ride is sporty when you actually have the fronts on the front and the rears on the rear (westcoast). They help alot, but if you have stock struts, depending on how much you are dropping, I would consider changing those also.

I have skunk 2s in my wifes crx...and not a complaint from me....Excellent handling.....EXCELLENT!!! But not to knock the GCs I've heard nothing but good things....
I currently have H&R race springs on my 92 civic hatch..but if I decide to go with a coil-over it'll be the GCs just cause of the choice in spring rates....
you can't lose on either one....but stock shocks on either one is a NO NO.

I agree - there's a difference to me in a "stiff" suspension and one that will jar your teeth out. A stiff suspension wouldn't give much and a rock-solid suspension doesn't give at all. A "supple" suspension is almost stiff, but still allows for some ride comfort - this would be my current ride with Eibach Pro's and Tockico Illumina's at #5 setting (stiffest).
I totally agree, with my car I have it set to completely loose as a daily driver because I am on the interstate and straight highways a good bit. I am originially from West Virginia, so when I take the 13 hour drive home, I don't feel beat up at all. But if I want to take some twistys, just set the konis to stiff and hold on!!
