Default Engine Mods

Ok I've been going for nothing but exterior mods since I got my car, other than system and intake. I wanna start doing some engine modifications. What are some things that I could do to make my car run better and maybe gain a little HP at the same time. Things I've thought about so far: MSD Ignition, Skunk2 IM, NGK Wires....any help is appreciated. BTW, not intertested in turbos..don't have that kinda dough at the moment.

Start by making the car breath better. You already got CAI, and I guess the IM will help(though on a stock motor wont do much good), open up your exhaust...I.E. Header, Cat-back Exhaust, High-Flow Cat...other than that I would say Underdrive Pulley, Ignition, wires, and lastly injectors, cam, some kinda chip...if you're serious, look into upgrading you're internals (i.e. rods/pistons) GL with the car, best lookin teal civic I've seen:thumbup:

Thanks for the help and compliments bro! Um I was looking into the MSD ignition and theirs like a ton of different kinds, which one would I be looking for? Same for the rest of the stuff like underdrive pulleys and what not, what brand would be my best bet without spending a crapload of money. I am ordering a magnaflow catback system from 93Hybrid here in the next weel so thats that. Thanks again.

I'm not smart when it comes to stuff like ignition, and wiring...Magnaflow is a good exhaust...perfect deap sound...though on stock SOHC motors, can sounds weak at some RPMs...but be careful when placing the clamp that connects the resignator pipe to the curved peice because if its not clamped tight enough or in the right place it can leak...causing an annoying sound from the underbody...also be careful when you leave the bolt ends exposed...i had my magnaflow on and something clipped the bolt ends which loosened it and bent the end of the threads so i couldn't tighten it, causing it to leak:madfawk:...You can just get another U-bolt, but I just put my WS back on cause I liked it better...

Anyway as far as cams, underdrive pulleys, etc I would say AEM or another well-known brand...DO NOT go cheap when it comes to parts like this. It's not worth the risk...

HIH - Peace...

Yea Brad was telling me how u had a lil trouble with your magnaflow, thats why you be lazy and let the pro's do it. lol But yea I think I'll get some AEM pulleys and all. Don't think I'll go the IM though, just a few little stuff and call it quits. I would like more suggestions on stuff i can do though.

Dude I know what you mean about money. But if you save the money you are willing to spend on these parts, you can eventually get a nice B series swap. That's what I did tho. Just my opinion.

Just be careful when choosing which underdrive pulley you want, if your going to get one. Underdrive pulley + audio system = not a good combo.
