Where ever you go, I hope you find what ever you are looking for.

I've seen this happen before. Yes, on this board. I love this board. Or should I say I love it when people aren't getting political. That's the problem. Drumsy and a lot of the other mods have been pulling stupid moves like this for years, and when people bitch about them loud enough and long enough, they go back to normal. **** that. Too much drama. It's like it's highschool again. If the mods hadn't realized, not all of us are 16-17 and just do this to be cool. I'm done venting. If anyone wants to find me, I'll be over at import love, www.d-series.org www.homemadeturbo.com sometimes on HT (another forum I rarely go to since sol info is so burried) and sol society.
Any of you that I have talked to in the past, feel free to hit me up on aim or email me.
This has nothing to do with you guys. Politics just piss me off, especially on a message board when politics just aren't needed... I'm out, yo.

You said that you understand the disappointment of joining the forums and that we can all learn from eachother.
I have to point out that yes, it is the same chassis as the civic, but so is the integra. All the motors, suspension, etc can be swapped around between the 3. Lets throw the tegs in with civics too!
Makes about as much sense.
How many civics are there in the US? about a gazillion. How many sols are there? a fraction of the number of civics. How hard to you think it is to get solid information on certain things? I know for a fact that if I hadn't made my shop manuals my bathroom reading, there would be a lot of things that would have never been found out with wiring diferences, and yes, I share that info with everyone I can. The info just isn't out there, so we have to share it in our small community, or else it is lost.
Sol don't share a single body panel with civics. The ONLY exterior parts that are the same are the door handles (same as the 5th gen). That's it...
Interior, the steering wheels are the same.... Again, that's it... Yes, you can swap rails and put civic seats in a sol, but the seats sit so high that if you're not hitting your head, your knees are getting smashed on the steering wheel... That basically makes the only interchangeable thing on the interior the steering wheel. Shit, not even the wiring is the same. The added wiring for the rear window and other little stuff.
The fact that the chassis aren't even wired the same is awesome. The wiring quirks with which ones have vtec and which don't is different on the sols than the civics. Hell, even the front bumper beam and radiator support are different. There is so little that is the same, and many civic owners don't realize this, so they give out bad info. That makes getting the person asking the question the right information 10 times harder. If they have read one incorrect post, and purchased parts based on it, to only later find out that it was not true, and was based off of info that is correct for the civic (and assumed true for the sol) they may have a lot of trouble ahead of them with returning parts, exchanging parts, being stuck with something they can't use, etc.
If these aren't reasons enough to justify returning the sol forum, then I guess I have no argument, and I will be leaving. Do what you want with this info. I know you're a good guy. I also know there are some motives of others on the board that I question. I always have. Anyway, if things don't go back to normal, and I don't see you on any other boards, best of luck to you doood.

One thing the I didn't mention is the itr. The only things that make it really different from an ls/gs are the engine setup and the suspension. Hmmm... The gsr has a different motor and suspension than the ls/gs. Lets make a different forum for that too.
If you've never owned a car that is an oddball, you don't know how hard it is to find info on it. How many times has my car been called a del slow by civic owners? Who else calls it that? Almost no one... There will always be a bitterness about this for me. The sol community is a brotherhood. WE have a car that is hard to find parts for, has more quirks than any civic (after 88), and all around is just a different car than a civic... All the civic owners that are saying they want to learn, you should have come over to the sol forum when it was around. WE can point you in the right direction for a lot of knowledge, or could have answered questions. So, don't give me the bs about having wanted to learn forever. Most of you haven't done anything about it until now. The ones that have, I commend you. The rest, give it up.
Hard to find parts for? Yeah right I can got to about three differnt junk yards within an hour and find plenty od sol parts uncluding seats and interior pieces. The Civic Hatch is pretty much as differnt from a standard civic as the del sol is and they do not have thier own board.
An to say a Type-R is the same as integra except for the suspension and engine is pretty ignorate on your part, you cannot duplicate a Type R Shell with just any integra, but thats ok you likely won't be coming back but I will gladly stay and take care of all the Del Sol Owners who come here.
