does anyone have a personal preference for shocks and springs for a 92-95? im only asking because i am looking at tokico illuminas and tein. both look good to me, but do u get wht you pay for with the tein basic damper kit, or should i look at other manufacturers such as h&r or koni

 

I've been pleased with my Koni sports. So far they ride great on the street ... I'll be able to see their manners on track in a few weeks. I have them paired with a set of OEM ITR springs.

i used to use illuminas, I upgraded to koni yellows and they're much better... the best shock (within reason h: ) money can buy. As for springs, that depends on what you want out of the suspension... will this be a daily driver? Do you want it to look slammed? we gotta know what you want out of the car before we can make recomendations.

 

good point. i want the setup to be strong and reliable. and that is why i thought about the tein basic kit. i want the car a little lower, but not to much, like 1.5, but mainly im looking for performance. is that a little better?
