you people make it seem like swaps are easy for everyone.

problems can and sometimes will happen. Depending on your level of experience with engines, come to your own conclusion about doing the swap yourself or not. Sometimes its a weekend job, sometimes it goes on for months. You can never really tell, and if you don't know what you're doing, thats not a good thing.

A mechanic who can do the swap will do it just as well as any speed shop, assuming he's reputable. I know of a reputable honda-acura mechanic shop, and honestly, I'd perfer them doing the swap over some of these speed shops around here.....

i never let anyone touch my car... honestly, i'm not a professional mechanic, but i screw up less stuff working on my car than the "pros" do. the only way you can trust the work is if you did it yourself. Plus, labor for a swap is usually rediculous.

The best way to tell if a shop is good - take a look around. If you see parts and tools laying all over the place, it's obvious the mechanic's are disorganized. How do you think they'll treat your motor? "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" my parents used to say. I may be messy when with WCS's tools, but I put them back after the job is done!

Moral of the story: what you see is what you get.
