I don't think that keeping your rev's up will help your engine warm up any faster. I tried that once and it didn't seem to help for me. :dunno:

Best way to warm up your car is light driving until the temp. gauge plateau's. Light driving, as in shifting below 3k. If you have an auto...i don't know what to tell ya

Usually you want the car to warm up so you can drive it harder and it wont hurt anything... so why run the engine harder while it's warming up?

Keep it below 3krpms until the temp gauge gets to normal.

Reving to warm the car up really defeats the purpose of warming the car up

i wouldnt rev the motor up until the engine is at normal operating temp

the oil must circulated trhougout the engine b4 it can really be concidered ok to put a loud on or if u drive on a cold engine u can get a period without oil, like right now

its so cold outside where i am that the oil is like a thick ooooz (5w30) how is a oil pump susposed to pick up a thick oil and spread it through a engine it wont it actually will run on the oil left int the engine from b4 which aint much, and for me i park my civic for weeks at a time just because its a bitch to try and drive (just spins in all gears including reverse on dry roads) so when i start its kinda like dry starting i can hear rings ever once in awhile

but to spread on my point of y u hear its not good to rev ur motor in nuetral is older domestic motors would break a belt or chain when u reved to high sometimes
i had a 455 cutlass b4 i built it i was warming up tha tires and i streched my chain and the car just shut off
after i built it never happened again but it also cost me a shit load to do and my chain was now bullet prooof
