hey guys. for some reason everytime I accelerate i can hear a knocking noise coming from the front of the car. When I let go of the gas, the noise goes away.

One thing is, I have a torn CV boot and it makes a clicking noise when I turn the wheel, but I dont know if that has anything to do with the knocking noise that I get when I'm accelerating.

Any ideas what it is?

 

Have a friend rev it up while you listen to it. If it doesn't knock under a load I'd say it's prolly that joint. If it does knock and it sounds like it's coming from the motor itself, your rod bearings (one set) has gone bad and you need to park the car until you fix it. You will end up wearing down the journal and ruining your crank if you were to keep driving it.
