I have a 97 Honda Civic DX Coupe, Automatic Transmission. Ive had this car for a while, and am going to use to it learn some stuff. First off, Id like to purchase a manual transmission, how much would the transmission be? Id rather have a professional do this for me, how much might that cost? Ok, things Id like to do for myself: Lowering Springs, Turbo (kit)... thats all I can think of off the top of my head for the moment. How hard would those two things be, are there any manuals that show me step by step what to do? Could I goto my local brake/suspension/whatever shop install them for me if I get frustrated? The turbo kit I want to do... but thats for later. Basically I just want to swap transmissions (not engine) and lower the car... Anywho, How much do transmissions cost and how much would be a reasonable price for someone to do that for me? Also, do you know of any shops in N. Alabama that would do this? Sorry if I dont make sence, tired/wee drunk/talking on phone.
