Default Type R Steering Rack

I have a lot of play in my steering. Since the steering rack has 200k miles on it and I got a free rack yesterday Im thinking replacing it might not be bad. Would using a steering rack from a type R (converted to manual operation) be more beneficial than a rack from a manual civic?

It'll be a lot harder to turn than a normal manual rack, but may be less turns lock-to-lock. Not sure on that...

Well I got it for free, so i think I will try it w/ just a loop. if its to tough Ill try a breather setup that gives less resistance.
