I totally wasn't thinking. In my little bizaro world above, I would have used the skunk2 IM. And I keep thinking of crvtec setups for some reason.....

but I have an excuse I've been back in school and involved with a new woman. Cars have been one of the last things on my mind :deek:

btw, this thread = high-jacked :db: :bandito:

So yeah, back to the point huu??? This is what I ended up doing with my 500$

I was lookin in the paper for a new engine, and seen a 93 Prelude Si for 7000, so I called the guy up and asked him what shape the engine and everything was in, he said the car had been stolen 2 days after he put the add in the paper and he just got the car back that day. So again I asked him how bad of shape the car was in and he told me it was near totaled, I went to his house o look at it and the body was all smashed up with a bat and the rear of the car was almost gone, I asked him where everything was and he said they stole most of the body parts, I bent up the hood to look at the engine and it had a H22 Vtec, the car has 55k on it (all original) so I asked him how much he wanted for everything under the hood and I told him I would offer him 800 for everything and he said DEAL!,

I took the engine out and brought it to the shop, Totaly took it all apart checked everything out and the only thing that was kinda Iffy, was the valves were burnt up prety bad, I took them all out and bought stock valves stiffer springs and titanium retainers. I had NAPA do the head and seat the valves( it was cheap) and the day I went to go pick it up they had some really bad news.... They droped the head on the ground right after they flux tested it... I bitched and they told me that there was no way they can be sure there is no cracks in it unless they test it again, I said ok, 3 days later I came there and they had more bad news (good 4 me). They said it had a micro fracture through the #1 valve seats, so I said well thats not my fault what are you going to do about it? They said they can but a brand new head for me (Cams and all) and have it to me on friday for 50$. I said ok. Now I have a brand new head and new cams....
Racing Valve seals, sold the cams on Ebay for 150. Bought 2 Edelbrock Racing cams that have a nice durration and Idle.
I also got a set of aluminum cam gears and pully wheels. for free from a friend.
A nice head gasket for better compression 150$... not to bad
A biger radiator for 20$
A nice oil cooler 60$
Found a polished valve cover on ebay for 55. (looks sweet)
Anyways I did a ton of crap to the H22 and at the same time I was fixin up my D16Z6 to sell, I ended up doing alot of cleaning replacing gaskets and seals and polishing and grinding. It is still for sale if anyone wants it, it is totaly rebuilt and has nice polished internals.

Back to the car, I pulled all of the parts I needed off the Lude and put them in my civic, the motor went in 2 days ago and it was to heavy for the stock springs so I had to invest in a nice set of shocks and adjustable springs.
IT now sits a little lower and rides much beter then ever befor.

I love this car 100% more and it cost me $1233.45. and I still had enough cash left over to my my wife a new dog (Jack Russel).

I will have pics as soon as I shrink them down and post them. Any questions on how I did this swap just ask, it was simple with the right stuf (nice dad with a big shop and all the right tools)....
