Default ? about sway bars

If i add a front and rear suspension techniques sway bars to my civic...do i or can i still ad a front and rear lower tie bar?

Yes. Comptech makes a rear swaybar/tie bar combo.

not all civics can have the sway bars added without adding other parts. lca's etc.

I don't think so, but I'm not sure...go outside and look and see if you have the predrilled holes on your LCA

I don't think your dx has the mounting points for a rear sway bar, but no biggie, just buy the sway bar designed for civic-no factory sway bar. It just bolts up around your lca's instead of int the little hole. And yes, they should both fit.

i believe all 96+ civic's had the holes for a rear sway to connect to the rear lca's.


If you are gonna get a sway bar get the ITR rear sway bar with the beaks kit.


easy to install and chaper than aftermarket, and it's probably just as big.

how hard is to install sway bar,
i about to buy ST sway bar for my 98 EX ? can you really tell the difference over stock bar

I just put my sway bar on this weekend. If your car has all the holes needed already there (and since you have a '98 EX, you have them there already b/c my '98 LX did), it should take you NO MORE than an hour to do. It's really a very basic mod that anyone with an ounce of mechanical ability can do.


btw...this is for a rear bar.
