Stolen . . . .
You can buy the car back. Your insurance company will put it on a salvage auction. Usually you can get the car for under $1000. If they cut you a check that's big enough to pay whatever you might owe and then some, you might be able to put a monster back together.
...damn, man. They even took your freakin' airbags. At least you got your ice scraper back... that thing looks expensive. Sorry about your loss.
I'd look into LoJack if you ever spend anything significant on mods. They have an excelent recovery rate in most areas. http://www.lojack.com/

Yeah I dunno what I am gonna do. The wife is already opposed to another sports car, but I have no idea what I would do without one. :dunno: She'll come around. I was thinking if I do get it back I will at the very least get a new Viper system. The reality is, even if I do have LoJack, it will get stripped before they get to it. Deterence is the key, right? The airbags are the most valuable single piece of the whole car. Not even the sattelite radio and MP3 deck were worth as much as the SRS system. I am just pissed off and want to know what's gonna happen next, you know?
That's true, you do have to report your car stolen to LoJack in order for them to put the word out.
If your wife's opposed to you having a sports car, then get a 91-92 Galant VR-4. 4 doors, doesn't look fast, cheap insurance, factory turbocharged AWD with 4WS with leather and a 5-speed. Sleeper. She'll love you for getting it, just don't tell her that it runs 14's bone stock. They can be had for $1500-$4000. I'd lean toward the $4000 side of them if I were you. They are getting up there in years, and you want it to be as complete as possible. I know a few guys in the 11's and 12's with them, and they still appear bone stock with the hood closed.

Because the actual price of new parts is way higher than it will actually cost you to replace the interior parts etc. if you look around. After replacing everything this last time I walked away with $1,200.00. For example, they came me $590.00 including labor, tax, etc. to replace my culumn and key cylinder and it cost me $75.00 for the column and keys out of a wrecked 95' SI. Also, you need to be a real PIA when dealing with the Ins. company. They will try and nickle and dime you, don't let them. and they have to pay you for brand new OEM parts, not aftermarket.
thanks for the advice. i am ready to do battle if i need to. but they are going total the car from what the adjuster said. now to try and see if it is worth getting back to build . . .

Check DSMtrader.com from time to time if you want to find one in your area for sale. That's where they usually get posted first.
Good luck with your settlement.
