Also, with the abundance of aftermarket parts for Honda D and B series motors, it should be almost impossible to not find the part you're looking for.

the honda dealership here sucks. i knew this job wouldnt be a problem, and i knew that honda made their motors easy for a reason and this was a big part of it. they just like to try to squeeze out every drop of money they can from idiots (myself inculded :happysad: ) i knew they were ripping me off, but my father thought it in our best intrests to trust these guys at least for the time being because they were "professionals" ... a week later my car was leaking, they screwed up "something" (wouldnt tell me what, i think cv boot) while doing the first job i dont wish to ever bring my new sol there

thats why i do all my own work(except for some stuff, like alignments and tire mounting/balancing) that way if something ****s up, i have no one else to blame but myself(which is a good/bad thing i suppose)

This isn't maintanance, but if you wish to buy cams or cam gears, you have to buy two of them which is double what you'd pay for the SOHC motor.

I'm actually really happy with my SI. The only VTEC's I found were red and I needed a car quick. I wish I would've found a 95 dark green one, but oh wells. I really like Captive Blue Pearl.

I did find one for sale in my area, but it was long after I got mine. Actually there was one, one of the first ones I looked at, but it was a theft recovery. Civic seats, a hole in the body for a N2O line I'm guessing and they were asking too much for it.
