Default engine swap questions

i Have a 93' civic DX (d15b) and i wanted to do a swap to a B16a but im not sure if i can do it, and have prrety good knowledge in hoda motors, but can anyone tell me if it is alot of work? hard to do? or if anyone has any instructions on any site that can help thanks

if sombodys talkin about putting in a b16a that probly means thats either what they want or cant afford a better motor. yea swapping is not that bad but make sure you have a USDM harness or it will cost you 150 for a new harness :thumbup:

you are an idiot

you can use your stock dx harness and just splice in the extra wires for vtec, etc.

thanks for the info, but i was wondering if there was like a word by word or picture guide anywhere, and will i have to change anything like transmission or will it damage it in the future? also if i didnt do a swap is there anything in Motor on the D15 that can be beefed up ?

You need a B-series transaxle. You can't use yours.

Don't build the D15, it's a waste of time and money.

there is a really good saying that a member has at the bottom of his or hers sig that says, the only work that you need to put into a d series, is to swap it out. im not taking credit for this seeing as though someone else said it before me.
