there definitely no such place in my trunk. i ripped out the whole thing of carpet, and the only plastic part is glued to the metal. - it is also flush with the wheel well. there isnt a pace for it to bolt in. i appreciate the help though. if i had a scanner, i would post a pic, but i dont. don t worry about it though. i appreciate the help

I was in the garage tonight, and thought of this post, so here ya go. See where those two holes are a few inches closer to the fender than the shock is? I had to drill the holes, but there are definitely indentations there. Some civics came with the holes drilled, some didn't. But it sounds like this is where your's needs to go.

oh, and please excuse the nasty engine bay. I've been building a motor for this car, it's in the garage getting all sorts of attention, and keeping the engine bay clean isn't a priority until the engine goes back in...
