Hi.
Another question............ just got done looking for my oil filter and could not find it! Did not look from under the car........ Where is it?
Also, book says that need special wrench from Honda to remove it. Is this true?
Thx

look from under the car.

and an oil filter wrench will help, but you don't always have to have one.

On my 94 ex, it is located right under the intake manifold, so try looking there. You can only see it from under the car, but you can usually feel it by reaching your hand under the manifold.

Also, I just use a normal oil filter wrench.

Its on the back of the motor, jack it up and get under there. Stab a screw driver through it to get it out.

Thx. But........would be hesitant to put screwdriver through it! I don't like to burn my bridges in case I have an incorrect replacement filter.

Also, lately when I change oil filters, I have been putting a little oil into the filter first before I screw it back on. Does anyone else do this (so have little oil in system when first start car up)?

I put a bit of oil in the new filter and also dab some oil on my finger and then rub it onto the rubber ring on the outer edges of the filter. This helps it to seal imo.

Be sure to use a good filter like OEM Honda, Mobile1 or something of that nature. FRAM filters (I've been told) suck.
