Default werid targa top seal q

so, looking at the new Sol today, i find out that on the targa top, the innermost seal, the one inside the car when the windows are up, are diffrent. on the driver's side the seal is tucked below some metal liner except for the far front and back inch or so. but on the other side the entire black rubber seal is out and completly covers the metal from front to back. i have a good feeling that the driver's side is right, but does it really matter? and if so how do i fix it?

The seals are supposed to be under the metal, not over it. Shouldn't be too hard to stuff it back in.

yea, its what i have left of my old sol, i found it the day of the wreck in some mud. so the seal is supposed to be in there like i thought, but what happens of its not? would it be better to let it be or to attempt to repair it?

Mine's been like that for a few years. Never leaked... I say don't waste any sleep over it.
