Default remote oil filter

thinkin about putting in a remote oil filter from http://www.cmfilters.com/ they offer the filter in the six inch tall and four inch tall...I would think for our little motors that the four inch tall would suffice? also anybody used the product...I know about the write up on hybrid, that is where I got the idea...just wanted some personal expereinces if I can!

i don't have any personal experience with it, but seems kinda worthless to do a basically stock b16a motor.

look into something like this when you're boosted.

I wouldn't do it unless you plan to do an external oil cooler. No real reason to...

Overkill for just a turbo civic.

yes, it is rigged to an external oil system.

I agree, a remote filter and oil cooler is overkill for a stock or light turbo Civic.

Maybe with a T04 or larger big boy turbo, but even that is lag city on a dinky 1.6l.

Doing it to my DSM... The oil filter on a DSM is right next to the exhaust and very close to the exhaust housing on the turbo. I'm putting on a 3" turbo-back and sort of need it for clearance reasons, and to reduce heat transfer.

Aren't Honda oil filters on the back of the block regardless of B or D series? If so, you wouldn't have that problem, and I'd think it's unnecessary.
