Brakes!
How long pads last depends more on how you use them then how many miles are on them. If you ride the brake, you'll toast them fast. If you downshift to decellerate and only tap the brakes to stop, they'll last forever.
You don't need to bleed the brakes, but flushing the brake fluid is nice and easy with the wheels off. You might as well do it while you are in there, I do.
The next time I change my pads, which will be soon, they'll be some cheapie autozone pads (thinking realistically here.) They'll hold me over just a bit until I can scrounge a few bucks for some Hawk HP+ pads and probably some new brembo blanks too.

well, my calipers are forxored and my pads drag all the time, im sure its part of the reason, but they still shouldnt be worn that quickly.
Anyway, after driving on them for another week, the squeal slowly went away. go figure!!

I usually just ignore noise. I just check my brakes every once in a while, and if they look good, then I'm set. Brakes can squeal for a number of reasons, so I just don't worry about it.
