Default dohc d16zc

Does anybody know about this motor?
All I know is it came out of a 93 eg from japan. It has gray plug, not yellow. And my 94 lx transmission bolts up to it.
Any help would be helpful.
Thanks

The DOHC ZC was not made in '93. Production of the blacktop ZC ended in early '90.

If you get a SOHC ZC from a Japanese EG, it'll bolt right in.

this motor is in my car. The guy I got it from said it was rare, and it did come out of a 93. It looks just like the older dohc zc but has gray plugs, and bolts right up with no mods.Is there any place I can go to find out more?

if you wonder if it's a DOHC ZC... why not just open up the valve cover and see if you got two cam shafts. if you do then it's a dohc... otherwise... with one cam shaft.. it's still a sohc.

I would need some pictures to believe this. Take a picture of the distributor showing the grey plugs, the head, and the head casting date showing at least a '92 casting.

An older DOHC ZC will bolt in to a 5G with little work, however they use some weird distributors. If your distributor is only held on by two bolts, it's probably the old blacktop rewired with a grey plug harness.

I'd still like to see a casting date for one of those.

look above the exhaust manifold on the front of the head. It will have a set of circular stamps, one of which will have a two number year code split by a vertical bar.

ie, (9|2) for 1992, it may be tilted.
