Default Heater/ A/C control removal for painting

Does anyone know or have the steps on removing the heater-a/c controls, because I wanted to paint the interior without that getting in my way. Any ideas, please let me know!

You ahve to take out the dash. If you still want to do it, let me know, and I'll give you the steps. There is at least one screw on the back side....

You don't have to take out the whole dash. I know someone who did it and they didn't take out the dash. I need to do it too cause I have lights all burned out back there. Sucks at night, but it's kinda kewl at the same time to be all black with little dots
