stupid question

Default stupid question

my power mirror is stuck with the top of the mirror pushed in... it goes left to right but slowly but wont move down at all (not even when I push on it) can anyone help me fix it before I die merging into traffic?

well you cna push it with your hand manually to the position you want
try pushing the button down and push the mirror with your hand it may just be stuck
but i never heard of just one direction dying out, take it to the shop

if you push it it should be able to move w/o the motor

I had same problem on my aftermarket mirrors, the motor is busted, your best bet is to pick up a used one or an aftermarket style set.

It cant be pushed in with my hand, trust me i've tried to the point of breaking the thing... and i just tried pushing it down while holding the button down and it didnt work either, the mirror just starts to bend... the motor is running and sounds like its tryin' real hard but the damn thing is just stuck

take it apart and becareful taking the mirror out, something must be jamming it.

there is a screw undernieght the mirror, take that out and slowly move the glass out. (havent done this on my civic, but i did on my accord so im thinking it will be the same.)
